However, if you put a DT6 cortland peach444 on this rod, it truly is magificent. The rod is not good with a 7wt line, it feels tippy. As with all Orvis rods, is overated and stated to be a 7wt. For the Orvis or Phillipson collector this is a must have. These rods were made on Phillipson epoxite blanks and are the pinacle of a good fiberglass rod. more when new and then stored safely for decades.
